OpenMontage completely changed how I approach video content by leveraging the AI coding assistants I already use. Instead of juggling a dozen disjointed tools for stock footage, voiceovers, and editing, I can just describe my concept in plain language and let the agent orchestrate the entire pipeline. The ability to generate actual videos using real stock footage, rather than just animating static images, makes the output feel professional and cinematic.

What really impresses me is the 'Backlot' feature, which provides a visual, living storyboard of the production process. It gives me transparency and control over every creative decision and cost estimate before rendering begins, effectively giving me a dedicated production team inside my code editor. It’s a powerful example of how agentic AI can handle complex, multi-step creative workflows without sacrificing quality.
